What is the Chatonio App?
Chatonio is delivered as a Progressive Web App (PWA). That means you install it straight from your browser — no downloads, no installers. Once installed, Chatonio runs in its own window with native notifications, just like any other desktop app.
This article covers macOS and Windows. For iPhone, iPad, and Android, see the Install on Mobile article.
macOS
On Mac, you can install Chatonio from Safari, Chrome, or Edge. We recommend Safari for best integration with macOS.
Using Safari (recommended)
Open chatonio.com in Safari.
In the menu bar, click File → Add to Dock…
Confirm the name and click Add. Chatonio will appear in your Dock and Launchpad.
Using Chrome or Edge
Open chatonio.com.

Click Install in the popup.

After installing
Enable notifications the first time you open the app so push alerts work when the window is closed.
Pin it: drag the Chatonio icon to your Dock (macOS) or right-click → Pin to taskbar (Windows) for one-click access.
Uninstalling: right-click the app and choose Uninstall, or remove it from Launchpad on macOS.
